Winter league is kicking off again, with the first fixtures on Thursday October 8th.

We have 27 confirmed teams again this year, with three more teams still contemplating, so were looking at three divisions of 9 or 10

Anyone looking to enter a team, or wanting to join an existing team, there's still time....

we played in this last year and really enjoyed it .we got 2 teams this year .there is a some travelling but there plenty of new venues and faces

Should be a very competitive season in div 1 this season. 4 or 5 teams fancy there chances so game on. Looking forward to a comp or 2 down at the phoenix, (please Mr Lally and Mr basnett) which is always a good laugh and good match practice.

Usual monthly meeting at Phoenix tonight for all team captains, fixtures for the new season will be distributed.

Yes, we have a couple of Eastwood comps in the pipeline watch this space.

Fixture of week 1 (imho) Phoenix A v Phoenix B

Duel between the teams that finished 1st and 2nd last season. A lot of the teams have strengthened this season and a couple of new faces in Division 1, so expecting a tight battle between at least 5 of the teams this time around.

Must admit that im looking forward to this now after being out of the league for couple of seasons. Some very interesting fixtures through the course of the season starting with tomorrow night...

I didn't realise we were playing the other Phoenix team last night!

We're Phoenix A , we beat Phoenix B 4 - 3 in as tight encounter. Phoenix C also won 5 - 2 in Division 3 Vs Butchers...

Of course we're Phoenix A!! Good start for the A and C teams with my step daughter Sammy Cummings winning her first frame in the league for the C team. Well done! No game for A team tonight, but the C are at home, so ill be up later to offer my support!

There generally don't tend to be games on Wednesdays, Ash.

Disapointing to have a free week so early in season.. would of been nice to get a bit of momentum together. Oh well, we'll just have to win our next game!! Might pop up to watch the new super 'C' team in action tomorrow then...See what I missed out on!

I think I might take the opportunity to catch up on some Zs, I'm *very tired* from only getting home from Wembley at half-one this morning!

You could of quite easily caught a few Z's whilst watching match!! I know I did on the sofa! Not that interesting watching England nowadays!

Didnt realise you were allowed to talk under 18 players through each of there shots! Must try that with Sam and Tom in out C Team. And yes shap we are all a bunch or w*****s!
