As I am sure you are all aware Tony "The Guru" Guy took ill over the weekend in Yarmouth. The good news is that Tony is looking to be well on the mend.....

There are a number of messages on other posts across the forum, I have started a new thread so any updates can be put in one place on the forum - Plus I am sure Tony will want to read up on all the messages of support that have been left over the coming weeks.

The last update was from Tony Wyatt who wrote on the 'End of an era' thread:

"Just spoke to Tony and he said thanks for everyones support, He said to say he is feeling alot better and is hoping to come back to Notts soon. He even managed a joke and his usual bit of wit & sarcasm..
Doctors have confirmed he will never be able to run a marathon now.!
Welcome back mate you had us all going there!"

Please continue to write your messages of support. All other posts are mainly on the the 'end of an era' thread in the Notts Open section of the forum

All the best Tony, hope you are back on the pool scene very soon!!!

Our thoughts are with Tony, Karen & Matt
Good to hear he is on the mend, I have spoken to Karen on several occasions and I know he was very poorly!

Tony was playing pool in Great Yarmouth and after 2 dodgy frames his head was down, he then upped his next game by producing a great 8 baller, that has obviously sent him over the edge and caused the shock to his system, so Guru no more decent finishes, we all love you cocking it up as normal!
Hope to see you soon, safe and well

Best wishes "boring!"

Speedy recovery Tony, in fact when you get back give Tantric a bell, he needs you to sort his table out at the Railway, its like playing on grass - all his superstars are threatening to leave(Hobbo)

Thank you guys. I am back home now, just need to get my medication sorted so I settle over the next few weeks so won`t be driving or doing much - which will be hard but worthwhile in the long run.
I would just like to say a huge thank you to all of you for posting the messages, Karen brought her blackberry in and showed me in the hospital, and those coupled with a super card from "mini me" - "verne" - "guru jnr" aka Matt lol, helped me to fight it off.
Thanks to VHP for letting Karen stay there the sunday night, she sorted a hotel after that - she said the caravan was cold - can you believe that eh??, Thanks in particular to Gaz Blackshaw, Gaz Sherwood, Trev & Carol, Stato for being there when we really needed and once again many thanks for all the messages/texts/calls that Karen received. Glad I got my new cue case - I can carry all my pills - 12 a day - indeed! The doctors confirmed that it was the irregular occurrence of potting 8 balls in a row that would have kick started it - thanks Gaz!!
See you all soon. TG  images/icones/icon7.gif  images/icones/icon13.gif
