Rons option in my opinion as scraps doubles and you get to play singles twice if you don't have a big squad( this is the best part about NSPL )

10 Singles / 2 Doubles (7 players min)

If using minimum players:

3 players for 2 singles
4 players for singles and doubles

Think we should keep the doubles rather than going to purely singles matches as otherwise it is just another supreme league. But make the doubles, scotch doubles.

I'm sure the England selectors thought if they took me on and gave me the job, I'd want to run the show. They were shrewd because that's exactly what I would have done

But Sir Gaz wants a dream pool league and so taking the best bits from each league. Doubles is a drag and very few people like playing it, it is the main reason games drag on ( that and not keeping the clock when you go to the big 4 ). And to be fair scotch doubles would take even longer as you will be chatting after each shot, especially when I team with you and we are out of position every other shot !!! lol

Just because it would be the same leg format as the supreme league, doesn't mean it is another supreme league.
That's like saying the Calverton league is another NOPPL, it isn't. They both have the same format but are completely different, with different teams etc.
Personally i think they should scrap doubles, but if they keep them they should go to scotch doubles and if you stick to the minute rule, it wouldn't be much different to a normal game.

i think doubles makes it more interesting but as it takes so long maybe just cut it to 7 singles and 2 doubles? i think thats where the NDPL have it right

This, games go on too long as it is.

Taking every game for granted (apparently).

Either 8 singles & 2 pairs, or 12 singles, to stop games going on so long. But only in Prem 2, Prem 1 are mostly ok with current format

Didn't you say in another thread Paul that we should change doubles to scotch doubles

And don't worry about your bad positional shots mate, I will try and pot our way out of trouble  smile/hapface01.gif

Yes mate but I would scrap them altogether if it were my choice. If we have to keep them then scotch format is better but teh minute rule has to be adheared to at all times.
