Landlady at Friar wants to sort staff rota out and i cant even tell her if we are at home or away!!
(CADPL could have done with recruiting an extra committee member at the AGM,the ideal candidate would be tardy,computer literate and have good reffing skills )

been looking at the squadrons for the coming season...looks like being a cracker.think the chequers 20 man squad looks very strong.also the vol. lads have grown too.cherry will as always be good  and i aint one 4 predictions so come on lads lets have a good clean fight and in 18 games time, could there possibly be a new contender? in probably the the best league around?.....cadpl    champion the underdog!lol

The break in between pool seasons should be a time for relaxation,putting your feet up,cracking a few beers open and generally taking it easy!but not in the CADPL,as the new season approaches, there has been a buzz of excitement surrounding the sign on/transfer market, everyone trying to strengthen there squads with there focus on winning the most famous league in Nottingham Pool.
Railway have been in the hunt for some quality cue-men, trying to put a stop to there weak start of season displays we are accustomed to, Trev, there long suffering secretary was heard to say"I know all the quality players want to sign for Ady up the Eagle@friar,but there must be someone left?" he went on to say"I know Ady is a quality player that's why i wouldn't play him for money but surely he couldn't have signed every mint player in Nottingham and if he has, get over the border and see who, if anyone,is out of contract so we can get him  on a free transfer,just get me anyone" Well Tosh did his best and turned up with a couple of cue-men likened to that once all time great Olly Brooks,who ive been told retired 53 years ago to pursue his passion for cue restoration.
Mac From Spot On (B) has been in the market for a new home for his squad of Hucknall/Watnall players and on finding his choice of a new venue(Chequers), went on to clutch Greggo Van Watnallite from the sinking ship at Balfour,can this man take the place of the extremely talented Asher Radford, who has moved on to the sunnier climate of Arnold rivals, Eagle@Friar,only time will tell if this was a super signing or a super noodle!
The Cherry Tree and Tony the Tiger have decided against signing any new players Tony sent this Quote "We did it last year with these boys and i am sure we can do it again,i am quite aware the averages are against us, but with a little help from our new sponsors (Spec Savers)i am sure we will be there or there abouts at the end,i think the loss last year in the League Cup Final against that super squad of lads @ Friar has put fire in our bellies and we will definitely come out fighting" well good luck to Tony and the Village people!
The only other outfit that has made dramatic improvements to there squad of excellent players is Eagle@friar,the word on the street is Ady has done his homework and signed some of Nottingham's Finest Pool stars with the likes of El Supremo Jarvey, Lorenzo(anyone seen my cue)Sanderson,Asher Radford,Bigeo Aleo and the Riggers family, to make what only can be described as, probably the best team in Nottingham, but the league has a lot of stars coming back to it this year, proving as Trev is always telling us "the best league in Nottingham".Good luck to all and enjoy it!!!!

Just checked with my old  English teacher(Mr Jefferson) and he said that you are right and unfortunately i am wrong,he also went on to say i was better at more physical activities, like pocket money collection,dinner money transfers,strawberry bon bon abduction and beating the school A grade English swat to a pulp! so i will meet you on the fields at first break!!
