A cracking night at Park tavern tonight! the beer was flowing and the food was as always in a league of its own. Cherry tree turned up with the usual suspects minus Tony Guy who has retired from Tuesday pool and will be missed by all!                  The nights games went as followed

Major Oak were a handful in their own backyard and stormed into a 2-0 lead with wins for Matty Coates over Martin Harper and a surprise 8 baller from Shrek over G Turnbull, Chequers turned the game round to win the next 3 legs and take a 3-2 lead with wins for Des Dymock, Dan Butler and a pairing of Thommo and PJ, Oak clinched the 6th leg with a cool finish from shrek who must be on a real high after 2 consecutive 8 ballers in 2 nights and his famous 3-0 win over Riggers in last weeks singles 1st round !!
Trev Kirby clinched a scrappy game over PJ which had more foul pots than legal to take a 4-3 lead for Oak,Simon Thommo clinched the 8th to level the scores, then Oak again took the pairs leg to lead 5-4.Greggo pipped Malc Cropley to restore parity 5-5 Dale Nix pulled off a neat finish over Lee Smith to gain a point for the Oak, last leg saw ex Craptain Harry lose a nail biter to Nidge Orton to share the spoils, good night had by all
