Tony  Guy for Prime Minister  lol
Good points Tony, well made.

There has to be guidelines but also some exeptions, last year Lee Pickard failed to qualify in the trials. Ended up playing for the A side, won local tournaments and is regarded as one of Notts better pool players, backed up by his league averages.
Stats can only be a guideline

As a representative of CADPL I would officially like to recommend Tony Guy, Alan Gregory and Trev Chambers.

only comedic result i can see is away at a s**t venue on s**t tables in an atmosphere not befitting county pool at west mids, the other results were not "bad" although i cant say im happy.
we have turned a corner and you will now see the results coming.

Back in the 1840s when I managed Notts, we had a policy of each League that was registered being able to recommend 2/3 players for trials at the end of the year, this kept all Leagues fully supportive of the County?

Even in the present day now its not you that manages Notts pool, there still is a policy that will allow all Notts leagues to recommend any amount of players for trials at the end of the season if they so wish. As I have said many times before, it is open to anyone wishing to trial and if they succeed at trials they are rewarded with a place. We don't know how many places will be available for next season because we don't know how many players we may lose over the season. If for example we lose 3 from the A, 3 from the B, then the subs that have been waiting all season will fill these places. Then trialists will fill their places. Until we know we can only say there will be 3 places available. If you feel that County pool is not being run properly then get in touch with John. He will arrange with Geoff Wilson for you to attend a County meeting so you can put forward your concerns. At the end of the season, trials are there for anyone. All you need to do is win your games and you will secure a place. Simple really. You may not agree with the present squads but I will say this- they have all earned their place in the County A and B teams. The same as you will have to earn yours.
