I was recently in a tourny with a Leicester player winning it only for the organisers to say they would have prefered more notts players to have entered so he didnt have to let (outsiders) in,with it being a notts tourny he wanted notts players and i think the majority of people agreed!!
and apart from that who wants to play in a scabby one bit town like derby...lol

My tournament yeah. The idea of that event was to promote Notts pool but, unfortunatley, not many Notts players bothered even though it was in Nottingham city centre so we had to let Derby and Leicester players in.

It was unfortunate mate, a good tournament and a good afternoon, but a shame an outsider won!

I agree!

Next seasons Notts Tour will be different. We are looking at making it more exclusive and for Notts players only. Hopefully, with a season behind us, the interest will be there.

May be if you advertise it for players from notts leagues instead of EPA card holders, then more notts players will attend!

Yes im hoping a few others will help with the advertising. Nothing major just as you say, dropping flyers at local league meetings, that sort of thing.

I think aiming for 48 players at these events was a little ambitious. Next season we'll hopefully have a series of Notts-only 32-player events at different venues around the county.
