I will be starting a new Pool Competition for non county players n September. I know Colin touched on it before he left but nothing came from it. I have been asked to do one by a few players so we are going to give it a try for the remainder of the year.

Format will be groups of 4 with top 2 going into main draw and bottom 2 going into plate. I will be running a comp on September 13th, October 11th and November 15th. If interested please let me know ASAP via this forum or 07507 890139.

Entry fee will be on a first come basis and will be £10 to secure your place then every comp will be £5. Prizes will be given out to Winners on the day.

This comp is not aimed at winning big money but to get good game time in for the 'Average Player' and having a laugh at the same time.

Why not make it a league format, where everyone plays everyone a couple of times? Which is what Colin was trying to do i think?

Ok i was hoping to scrape under the radar as average but you had to go and blow my cover didn't you!
And the bit where he says group(s) plural, suggests to me that people will be in different groups and won't play everyone else.

Once i get the 16 sorted and paid up then we will look at making the best possible format without making it to much of a long day where people lose interest mate. The league format is not going to give a winner every comp though mate!!

Wouldn't mind entering this Jimmy, although won't be able to make the September one... 'bout time I started donating money to the Marsden Appreciation Society.

Jim, as you can see I told you the White Horse lads would be up for it. I have not heard anything from Chris S but Trev Anderson wants in. I was going to ask Mr Iremonger but now that Ady wants in I won't bother.
