Not true. Its always possible to avoid clashing with other localised events (when i say localised i mean Midlands, not Nottingham city centre), if the organiser can be bothered to check.

To be fair... on ly a select few that have a chance of winning anything give two sh*ts about comps in the whole of the midlands !

If you mean only a handful of Notts players are interested in playing at a level higher than the pubs then yes maybe but its still good to let everyone have a choice

The majority or the minority to have the choice Steve.
With county, tour dates etc for the minority, the majority find themselves having to bow to the few and I'm afraid in tournaments like the Bobby Singh, its the rank and file pool players with a few of the older top players included that will turn up.
Of the tour players., maybe the usual 4/5 would turn up.
With the flood of tournaments we have now there are fewer available dates to the point where people that have tournaments in Derby complaining about clashes.

Not neccessarily this one but ... fcuk it who cares anyway, keep the sheepshaggers out of nottingham and we don't want to know about derby tournaments and if they do clash, tough.

Its only banter my woolly friend.
Its just that every time someone makes the effort to put a tournament on, someone comes on bleating about it clashing with something in the outer hebrides.
The Bobby Singh tourno is aimed at the lads! Thats why tour players are -1 handicapped.
It's already been moved once because of some other significant event - a Forest match - and Dale thought bugger it...
