From the County meeting on Sunday we were advised of a few new rules that may come in.

On in particular that makes sense and will impact locally is " a ball off the table from a break is no longer a 2 shot foul" - i.e. the same as a white in-off foul.

The second one with lesser impact in local leagues I guess is that the 1 minute clock starts ticking immediately upon racking the balls. If a player wishes the balls to be reset they can ask for a timeout, but the clock is already underway up until that point.
At a higher level it will be interesting to see some of the Staffs (Trent Trophies) players going for a p155 while a frame is racked in a Yarmouth playoff.

 Just to confirm that the rule mentioned about only having 1 shot if the white comes of the table when breaking is not correct. This is still 2 shots. This was confirmed with the senior refs on the tour at the weekend and also after reading the rules it is not in their either ....

so for the people who have played this in competitions are wrong im assuming the rule has not been put into practice yet so for future reference its still 2 shots
