In the Notts AGM yesterday the Interleague agreed to follow Yarmouth format for breaks. These are:
1. Lag for break on the first occasion.
2. Player's retain the same numbers for the second set, meaning every player gets one break apiece.
I think this is a step forward and I think the lag option rather than tossing a coin would add a bit of spark to the local leagues also.

This is hot off the press from an Interleague point of view and just introduced as a topic for discussion here so we can pick the bones out of it.

Not discussed with other SVNO committee members at all. For now I'm just seeing what people think and if it seems like a good idea it will be up to someone to request it before the SVNO AGM meeting in April. If it IS raised there and accepted then it may be in for the Summer season.

I can't speak for any other leagues though. But I assume they have a similar process for rules change.

Lagging is the way to go, Its no fun playing for Sun Valley; if you don't come from clifton you never get to break!  
It would even matches up, if the top finishers had to lag instead of just being given the break all of the time.

Suggestion is only for the first game.
EPA rules still have break alternation after that.
So it doesn't solve your particular gripe mate.

either way sounds a good idea!!!

cant we make it every frame - it is a talent to be a successful lagger and is a little more deserved than the captain picking the legs when you break and don't break

i agree neil i would be all for that. but just a point it would give the home team an advantage know your table and all that

slight advantage - but aint that what being at home is all about
