Played a few frames last night and this question came up. I'm assuming the answer is NO!

The opponent has gone in off, you have the cue ball in hand. Are you allowed to place the cue ball in baulk in a position where it is touching one of your own balls? Obviously, if you moved your ball in the process it would be a foul, but are you allowed to do it in principle?

Cheers
Chris

No because once you touch your ball with the white ball that is a foul.

Thought as much. Shame, there was a situation where it would have been nice to do it!
