I still can't believe we won the first set 10-1.We were at them from the off and we did to them what they have done to us over the years.It was so good to see the team in full flow, on the table and lyrically.We really got inside their heads(just goes to show what good support can do),i have never seen a team over the years (i have played against) as cool as the Staffs side so easily riled.To the extent where one off their players went in-off and put his cue through the balls with our player still having three balls and the black on the table.

Also a big thanks to the Phoenix,the tables played great.A big thanks to all players and supporters it felt like beating Germany 5-1 all over again.This is one match that will be remembered for along time.

well done the  A team ..... unlucky about the B team keep your chins up lads ..... bye and bye !!

I can believe it Stan, because the side we have can beat anyone. So why did we lose to Derby home and away? Well, over the season I have seen why. When we played Derby we were not on them from the start. We let the early sets slip. Now, against Leicester and Staffs we were on it and just look at the results. We were awesome in both matches. For me this is what we have to work on. Getting the team motivated and focused on every set and every leg. Then I think we are going to be a major title contender. We have not been going a full season yet, and the current players have completly turned the A team around. The players on Sunday have kept our hope alive for a place in the County finals. So lets push on for the next two matches with the same determination and team spirit we had on Sunday against Staffs.

Sounds like you need to get at em early Pat, ban drinking Sat nights and make every body report in an hour early for a team meeting and bonding session

Not quite the way I like to do things Al, but I can see your point. County pool is a long day and it can be hard work keeping everyone focussed on the match. But we are getting there and we have the right players playing in the Ateam, so at the moment I am happy with the way the season has gone so far.

Just been on the Derby site.Jon Shapland(region 3 director)is hinting Staffs may be docked some points.Could be interesting.
