Look I know Pat, Liam and Brink won't like anyone saying this and i'm not trying to slag you off but when is this new system going actually come good? Results are not good and to be honest I think the worst for some years. If this 'new' system is not working maybe have the balls to admit it and scrap it for the good of Notts pool! The players are good enough maybe it's the management? What happens to a football club not doing too good with excellent players? The board sack the manager. This can't happen in Notts pool because the board is the management, so how about resignation?

Sorry, can't agree with the above comments, the 3 guys mentioned put in a lot of hard graft as do Ron, Shrek and anyone else assisting the lads in running county teams, its unpaid and takes up a hell of a lot of free time - all i can say is they must have understanding wives or partners, no one should really have a pop at them or the players, from waht i've seen of the stats and quality of the other teams in the region there aint much between winning and losing, a bit of run of the ball here and there and youve lost by the smallest margin, most of the lads playing try there heart out and deserve support not knock downs

what system are you refering to ?
team selection this year has been handed back where it belongs to the captains. i can only speak on my own behalf but i can say myself and Neil go to great lengths in deciding team selection, with the ultimate say by myself. sometimes i miss something and neil will pull me up and say he doesnt agree but mostly team selection has to be about the results. i know i couldnt put more effort into the b team matches if i tried, that coupled with my many years experience playing and being captain to my mind makes me the best man for the job. this will im sure be challenged at some point but from your comments i get the impression you dont really understand how different the county set up is from league pool. firstly we are in the by far strongest region in the country and if you dont believe me look back at how many times r3 teams win both a and b national titles. secondly just because someone is a notts legend it doesnt mean they can cut it on county days, i've lost count of how many good players try out county get poor results and jack. your football analagy doesnt wash with me , its a different situation, football managers are payed proffesionals who lose their "job", so far county pool has cost me many hundreds of pounds in lost wages and fuel and not to mention my time so to say that if i dont get results i should resign is stupid. i would perhaps partly agree if i wasnt giving it everything but i'm afraid once you get the best players it means nothing unless they perform.
in the last 3 years pat myself and John to mention a few have made our county set up the envy of others because with notts pool there is clear methods of getting into the team and complete transparency regarding the set up. results are tough in this region as i have already mentioned and pat has to some extent a tougher job than me beacause leic a and staffs a are quite simply awsome so instead of coming on here and trying to stick the knife in how about getting behind us and being positive? maybe even turn up to some matches and do a bit of cheering, then again youd have to reveal yourself so that wont happen will it. lol.

why does a bowler need a manager !

Firstly Alan. Read the beginning of my post before saying what you have said. Where do I put the players down? They ARE the best Notts has to offer and it's frustrating seeing the result. Don't try to make me out to be the bad man when I clearly have an alternate motiv in my posts. It seems like you're trying to get in with the bigger boys.

Ron great reply that's what you need. I think next match both men sides will win just to shut me up. I have no idea who it is but good luck.

As i said in my post the management put in loads of hard graft and spare time, its not as if the team are getting thrashed by all and sundry, you were critisiing them, all i did was backed them up, it aint easy running teams of any standard, you dont get appreciated very much !
"Get in with the big boys", i get on well with them now, i dont need to get in with them!!
I dont think they need motivating by some person or persons coming on here and stirring it up
Anyone agree or disagree
