Great result for Notts B winning 28 - 16 against Derby's super new Regime!!

Some great performances on the day with 4 out of 4 from Graham Cliff, Daz Swinton and back to his best Brian Gennoe!!!

The match started off well with Notts going into a 4-1 lead and then led all the way to the finish!! In the 3rd set Notts only dropped the first and last leg winning 9 legs to 2 which put us in the driving seat!!

Well done and a great day all round with the A team also winning easily!!! Me thinks Derby need a new strategy for their regime as the big things that were predicted don't seem to be working!!

Well done boys!!

Comments welcome, Mars/twix bar any of your predictions lol?? anyone else want some humble pie lol!!

Sheep-shagger in peace...

Well played to Nottinghamshire today.  A few below-parr performances from Derbyshire players aside, credit where it's due and Nottinghamshire played really, really well today I thought. Taking myself as an example, I didn't really play a false shot today, but it was still only good enough for two out of four! Ron, Neil and John aside, you're an entirely different team to the one when I last played 'B'-team pool (circa 2005), and it shows. When you edged us out at the Corn earlier this year I felt that it was as much down to us playing poorly that day as anything else, but on today's performance I think we have to just accept that you are currently a better team than us and set-about improving if we want to compete with you.  Well played to Nottinghamshire, thoroughly deserved winners.

Well done Notts B the B team have a great team sprit which was at its very best today. At one point I thought you were going to sing the Phoenix's roof off! You have had many negatives thrown at you this season of which you have answered today. Keep it up boys and remember you are the current B team and thats all that matters.

Kind words from the region 3 director there. The match was taken in excellent spirit again and despite the pre-match banter the friendly rivalry made for a good day which was only overshadowed by the best performance I've seen from Notts B for some time.

No apologies for 8 balling you though Shaps.

Some people work to make a difference. Some people would rather just whine (plus they usually are the ones with a small penis). Think before you post - Which one are you?

Thanks for the post John!!! It was a good game and as Brink said the banter was really good!!

The strength of the B team is improving with each match and a lot of hard work has gone in to developing this team, whether we get our overall goal this season or the next it will definately come soon in my opinion!!!

I agree with Brink, it is one of the best performances seen from a B team since I can remember, it's just a shame there has been so many doubters and negative comments over the past few months towards this team, maybe this will go towards keeping them quiet???

I haven't been on this board for a few months, but I presume you mean there's been some stick from non-county players within Nottinghamshire?

I can't be arsed to go searching, but I wouldn't worry about it to be honest.

It's by no means a phenomenon limited to Nottinghamshire.  We've certainly had whingers in the past, but like you say, it's invariably from people who wouldn't get within a million miles of the county teams anyway!

At the end of the day you have open trials now, so anyone who thinks they're good enough should get themselves in the trials, and if they are infact good enough, they'll make the team.  End!

Well done to the notts lads a fantastic result against the !!!!!!!!!!

Whilst i may play interleague in the derby area (THIS YEAR) my prioritys are still with notts after some very happy times especially yarmouth in the final against staffs. I've read all these negative posts this year but i've took a back seat because i don't know the individuals who choose to slate you. All i can say to the 'B' team is don't bite to the w~~~~~~!

I will be trialling next year!!

Trust me, so long as the pattern is right, interchanging reds and yellows does not make it a foul to break them.  That said, a good ref would never rack them up with yellow at the top in the first place!
