I wish we'd have gone to the wrong Golden Guinea... got spanked 9-3.  Well played Guinea, see you at ours in a few weeks...

Yeah the Spot On Hucknall thing was a bit dissapointing.
Apparently they turned up at the wrong Vale, in Arnold.
They did ask to re-arrange it at 8.15, i was the only one in favour of doing that in my team, so unfortunately democracy wins and we claimed the match.
To be fair they made no effort whatsoever to get to our place from the Vale in Arnold even though we offered them a minibus at a reduced price and told them we were willing to wait for over an hour for them.
Oh and lol at the mighty White Horse getting a can of whupass

Haven't we got 17 games to go this season... And we are rearranging our game against The Mill from last week, can't believe that anyone would claim a game rather than play it another time!!

I'm sure the England selectors thought if they took me on and gave me the job, I'd want to run the show. They were shrewd because that's exactly what I would have done

I'm completely with you on this one Petchy.
But in defense of my mardy team mates, the other team went to the wrong pub and then made no effort to get to ours and in actual fact they just went on the next bus home before even trying to sort out alternative transport to our place. Pretty poor really. (And it's a different situation to yours where they couldn't make a team)

Lmrca got there first points of the season with a 7.6 win away at the wheatsheaf. Was a good nite out with good banter, pity about there crappy red table, although it probably helped our players!!!!

I don't understand why anyone has to claim a match, I understand they went to wrong pub but none of these guys drive so they would have had to catch two buses at night which would have taken forever so I can understand there reasoning. I do get your players wanting to claim but the Spot On have offered to play it again at your place, reimburse the food money and they will also spend money in your club so the club wins both ways, u have not lost out and your manager is gonna earn some beer sales. Simples!! I would advise your team to re-think and please put this proposal to the manager as business is business at the end of the day!! Let me know please Justin.

Jimmy
I didn't want to claim the match (and i never want to claim any match) but i was the only one who didn't want to. At the end of the day i'm the captain, it isn't my pub.
The reasoning was, that we had already done the food and the team made no real effort to get to our place and some people didn't want to give up the free week. We did offer them a minibus (one of our players owns a taxi/minibus company) but they didn't seem to want to fork out the £15 it would have cost them.
As i said i would have been happy to re-arrange, you know me mate i'm not bothered, but if either you or Steve or Harvey want to ring the Vale and speak to the manager to try and change his mind, feel free.

I'm totel a agree with Jimmy. They did get there only in the wrong pub and they did ring the vale to let them know Where they was. Why claim against them. I can understand to claim against them if there is no show with no contact to let you know. We need every team to stay in out league. Please take Jimmy advice.

Well you would wouldn't you!
I've explained the situation.
They could have still made it to our place, it's only 15 minutes from the Vale in Arnold and we told them we could get a minibus, but no they jumped straight on a bus back home. Why would anyone do that if they had intended to come to our place?

Was it £15 for a return to Arnold or just one way? I supect the latter so they would have had to pay an extra £30 on top of their busfares and beer money. For young lads that sound like an expensive night, just ask Matt Coates and he doesn't even spend on drinks!

Are we not missing a point here?  Some of the Spot on Hucknall team have played in this league since it's start under the guise of Rileys. They received a copy off all the paperwork, which clearly states:-

The Vale Club, 54 Vale Road, Colwick - and then Justin's phone number.

That's Vale Club, not The Vale, Mansfield Rd, Daybrook!! This information can easily be found on most phones nowadays and the Supreme website is easily accessed through the weblink on here, even if the welcome pack has been mislaid.

Are they F***ing Thick??

It was £15 to get there, which is a couple of quid each tops.
And get this....(and maybe you didn't think about this one)...
If they were intending to come, they would have had transport sorted for the trip home right???

JP you hit the nail on the head there.
You want to give some people the benefit of the doubt but jesus it states the address on nearly every bit of paper you get, next time you don't know where you are going, have a look before you leave lads eh..?
