Well said!

It's a wash kid....you're in Atlantic City now, not back in the Stock Room playing with baby dolls.

Notts & District Won the day who would of thought it...!!!

For 2 seasons we finished 2nd, we have been getting stronger and stronger over the last 3 years.

We had to play Chesterfield in a group of 2. We won the first game 10-8 and then the second 14-4. They had a good strong squad including Silvino Francisco who won the Masters snooker in 1985, 12-9 against Kirk Stevens. Biggest cheer of the day was when Silvino missed a black in the jaws of the pocket. OOOOPPPPS

We then played Ollerton in the Semi, 6-0 up then the wheels fell off alittle 6-3 at the half way stage....

Matt Coates won 7-3 up followed by Mr Rawson losing is only game of the day 7-4. Marcus Langford and Curtis Bradley set to do battle, Langy playing Andy Wilson, Brett crawford kept Screaming chalk it up Andy, Chalk it up Andy. No need Langy dished and all that chalk wasted 8-4, then Curtis lost is only game of the day 8-5...

Dale Mayes and Matt Tugby on next 2 wins and we are over the line 10-5 up.

Myself, a very drunk Steve Hobster played next I won and Hobbo was unlucky with an hard red down the rail....11 - 6. this left poor old Spanky sims who was unlucky not to get an 8 baller 11-7.

with Cherry Tree and Noppl going to 9-9 it was Notts & District who became the Interleague k-o cup champions....

Well played to all my team.

Notts & District Captain.

I am going to propose that next year we actually play the final too, rather than having the team that gets the best result at the semi final stage being crowned k.o.cup champs. Notts & dist  were always going to beat 2008 bottom makers Ollerton by more than either cherry tree or notts open ppl were going to beat each other.

notts & dist sure got the good draw.

Notts Open vs Cherry Tree must surely be the two strongest line ups ever to do battle in notts.

NOPPL starting 9:
Lee Howitt
Ashley Radford
Dave Atherley
Clint Ianson
Lee Pickard
Jed Eaton
Liam Stanley
Steve Hotchkiss
Jason Rimmington

Cherry Tree starting 9:
Chris Rigby
James Hill
John Harvey
Neil Jones
Tony Wyatt
Ian Owen
Andy Hind
Ryan Hewitt
Olly Brooks

The noise level at times was like being at a football match (not county), as the banter reached a new level.

great day, great match, and everyone shook hands at the end apart from one of their players, who wouldn't shake my hand. I spent all last night crying about it    (yeah right!!)

Well done all teams on the day, apart from one side, who refused to stop and play for 5th place.

congratulations Notts & District

Bit on the dis respectful side sheriff??
Ollerton are essentially a completely new side who dont play world rules in our local league
In pool owt can happen on the day, we lost to notts n district and fair play to em they set off like a rocket, if we were at 5-4 down from the first set i fancied us to win, but like i say on the day counts so well done notts
I think they either us or notts wouldve ran noppl or friar park tavern cherry whover close, just a shame the final wasnt played as would av been interesting to see if notts would av spanked you lot, and also would have liked a 3rd 4th play off to see how close or far away we are as a new side??

Glad you took it in good spirit Rimmo, as you did get some stick during your game. all forgotten about after, and win or lose it was a great match mate. well played, but unlucky.

Sorry Andy, didn't mean to sound disrespectful to your side. I do understand that you have a lot of players learning world rules, and i know they are all good players. when they know the rules properly, ollerton will start to compete a lot more. despite this, you guys still finished a very creditable 4th place, so well done guys

Well done Harry on a good day. Bilko and the boys were on fire early doors, pleased for him cos he is passionate about interleague and pool - well done mate.
From our point of view - Calverton - we would like to avoid the ex UK champions NOPPL just for one year in the draw.

I agree with bash, it would have been nice for us to play the final to see how far we have come as a side also.

a lot has been said how we got a good draw, mmm it could have been a lot easier for us, as Chesterfield got to the last 16 a few months back, and Ollerton have some really great players.

Our side played really well all day, and while i think we would probably have lost against Cherry Tree, we might have given them a bit of a scare.

Great Captaincy by Lee Thorpe (he told me to put that)

Crawford started crying when he realised it was his break, we had already won the match and was playing out the legs against Eastwood. He made them re rack so he could have his precious break only to miss the rack completely . . . priceless
