Gainsborough 5 Calverton & Arnold 13.

Great start against a team that will take points off teams this season especially at home. Worth going all that way just for the food - definitely the best ever served up at a pool match . . . ever.

Cherry Tree v Hucknall Postponed? makes the players who made a 90 mile round trip to Gainsborough a true credit to the league, shows true dedication, well done lads  images/icones/icon13.gif

Solid start for N&D.

Well done to Steve for fielding a few juniors, it will only help them playing top level pool

Yes well done C+A for turning up to Gainsborough. Its a pity you couldn't turn up to County meetings and inform the NCPA of your finals day and then we wouldn't have had to change the KO cup dates and then also cause a major problem for Hucknall, for the rearranged date. True dedication . LOL

Thank you.

If you need to know, ask The Guvnor

Yes and thank god we won, after catering for their request to start an hour early, pay £15 match fees, £15 petrol per car and risk the treacherous conditions - it is nice to be genuinely conratulated

If you'd stayed long enough you would have seen us start out from the Park Tavern on Thursday night Harry! smile/hapface01.gif

Does beg the question of why they are in the Notts Superleague when they are 15 miles into Lincolnshire and their players play for Lincolnshire? Do Lincolnshire not have a Superleague?

Their players do not play county for Lincs as this is not allowed because they play interleague under the Notts flag.

This stems back to when Lincs didn't have a county set up,so they affiliated themselves to Notts. The same goes for Chesterfield when Derby had no county set up.I can remember several years ago,2 players who lived near Grimsby used to play for Notts.
